I have been wanting to create some math related quiet book pages, beyond counting and number recognition pages, for J for quite some time now.  So I made this simple fractions quiet book page or as J likes to call it "the making pizza page."

This page was so easy to make.  I cut out a circle using white felt and then made a coordinating pocket for the fraction pieces.

I then cut out halves, quarters, and eighths using a different color for each type of fraction.  So when J puts the circle together using the pieces, it ends up being self correcting.  On each fraction piece, I wrote the fraction using permanent marker.

The pieces can be arranged anyway they like, mixing quarters with halves for isntance, but J likes to use the eighths all the time to "make a pizza."  Hahaha...math has never been more fun!
