A fun and simple apple sensory bin that's perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to work on their fine motor skills.

Apples are a favorite fruit around here. We go through a lot of apples in a week. Thankfully, our neighbor's apple tree hangs over into our yard and she lets us pick as many apples as we want.

So naturally, we love apple season.

This apple sensory bin is a perfect way to celebrate apple season with your toddlers and preschoolers.

It's a super simple sensory "soup" activity that feels just as cool and refreshing as that first bite into an apple. It just happens to sneak in some fine motor skills practice and learning too.

A Fun Apple Sensory Bin Idea that Toddlers & Preschoolers Will Love!

This apple sensory "soup" bin was just as quick and easy to prepare as the fall leaves one. You'll need:

  • Water
  • Acrylic apples - I found these at Michaels last year, but I haven't been able to find them this year or anywhere online. You could always substitute red and green glass stones for the apples.
  • Kitchen stuff - I added a whisk, a ladle, a large spoon, and a white plastic bowl. You can add measuring cups or measuring spoons too.
Add the water and liquid watercolors and mix it up. Then add the apples and kitchen utensils. That's it!
