I love this number train quiet book page. I originally made a small train with numbers 1 to 5 as a gift for a friend's little train loving son. However, both J and K wanted to play with it, so of course, I had to make them a bigger one.
Each train car is one piece of colored felt with two wheels hot glued on. I then adhered some felt number stickers on. On the back of each train car is a velcro dot. The train engine, caboose, and train tracks were cut free hand and sewn down. When all the train cars are removed, you can see where I hot glued the velcro dots to the page.
Here's a photo of all the pieces.
The great thing about this page is that the boys can put the train cars in order from 1 to 10 or in the reverse order from 10 to 1. I have seen J do it both ways, whereas K kind of sticks the train cars wherever. At least K still identifies the numbers before putting them on the train tracks!
Love this one. Hope you keep more coming.

Thanks, Elaine. And don't worry, I have plenty more to share. :)
DeleteThis is great! There's no doubt my son would love it, of course, but I think any kid would enjoy putting the cars in order.
ReplyDeleteHahaha...yes, your son would totally adore this!

DeleteHi Dyan! Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the great quiet book page idea! My daughter loves trains, and just learned to count, so this page is perfect for the No-Sew Quiet Book I just made for her to use on a recent airplane trip. I blogged about it myself, and gave you credit!
ReplyDeleteThanks again!
Your No Sew Quiet Book looks wonderful! Thanks for telling me about it!
DeleteThese are fantastic! Do you have a template?
ReplyDeleteI don't at this time. I am slowly going back and adding templates to some of the quiet book pages that have been posted on the blog. This one is on my list to do!
