This quiet book page may not look the prettiest, but trust me, it is fun. And it will keep the kiddies busy, I promise.
I got the idea for this quiet book page after seeing this
homemade ribbon pulling toy on
The Imagination Tree. This page was so easy to make and requires no sewing skills. It just involves some small cuts and ribbon knotting. However, if I were to do this page again, I think I would put eyelets for each hole for the ribbons to slide through, just for added strength.
Here are a few more shots of this page in action.

ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful that you are making one for your daughter! Enjoy making your quiet book. They are a lot of fun to make!
DeleteIs it two pies of fabric? I cant tell if the ribbons are sandwiched between two pieces of fabric or not. Great idea!!
ReplyDeleteEach ribbon is threaded through two slits on one piece of fabric. Then I always sew my quiet book pages back to back. I think it's the piano page on the back (can't remember off the top of my head). Hope that makes sense!
DeleteI'm making 20 of these for an exchange I'm a part of! Thanks for sharing! How do the eyelets work? Where do I get them and how do I attach them. I bought pieces if flannel to use as the base. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI got the eyelets from Walmart, but any craft store will have them. Usually they come as a kit with tools to set them. You just the hammer in combination with the tools and it will put the eyelet in for you. Hope that helps!
DeleteGreat idea, my nephiew would love it. Thanks for sharing! :-)
