Hyperlexic kids love letters. That's a fact. They'll happily play with ABC toys all day long and love to read alphabet books non-stop, especially as a toddler and preschooler.

So it's probably not surprising that the popular children's book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault is a top favorite among hyperlexic kids.

The book is, after all, a story about the letters of the alphabet racing each other up the coconut tree. It essentially brings the letters of the alphabet to life and makes learning the alphabet fun.

This particular book is so well-loved by hyperlexic kids that I've seen hyperlexic kids dress up as the coconut tree with letters for Halloween or book days at school. So when I say they love the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, I mean they reeeeeeally love it.
